VIVENDO EM UM ABRIGO: AS SITUAÇÕES DE PERDA CONTADAS PELA CRIANÇA POR MEIO DO BRINQUEDO TERAPÊUTICO
Objetivo: compreender as
situações de perda vivenciadas por crianças
institucionalizadas em abrigo, por meio do
brinquedo terapêutico. Método: pesquisa
descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa, realizada
com cinco crianças de uma instituição de abrigo
situada no município de Santos – Brasil, com
idade entre quatro e 11 anos. Os dados foram
coletados durante uma sessão de Brinquedo
Terapêutico e analisados por meio da técnica de
conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: a criança que
mora em um abrigo vivencia muitas situações
de perda real e simbólica. Dentre elas, uma
das mais significativas que emergiram durante
a brincadeira, é a perda do contato com sua
família. Considerações finais: o Brinquedo
Terapêutico evidenciou-se como estratégia
efetiva que favorece a reflexão da criança
sobre suas vivências no abrigo, além de valioso
instrumento de pesquisa quando se deseja
ouvir a criança.

Abstract:
Objective: Understand the loss
situations experienced by children who live in
a shelter, through the therapeutic play. Method:
Exploratory, qualitative descriptive study with
five children between four and 11 years old,
from a shelter institution located in the city of
Santos - Brazil. Data were collected during a
therapeutic play session and analyzed using
the Bardin content technique. Results: Children
living in a shelter experience many situations
of real and symbolic losses. Among them, one
of the most significant that emerged during the
session is the loss of contact with their family.
Final considerations: therapeutic play has been
proved as an effective strategy that benefits
children’s thinking about their experiences in
the shelter, as well as a valuable research tool
when the intention is to hear what the children
have to say.
