VIVÊNCIA NA PREVENÇÃO DA COVID-19 MEDIANTES AÇÕES EDUCATIVAS NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL

Ações contínuas de promoção e prevenção da Covid-19 em escolas infantis fortalecem o conhecimento não apenas dessa população, mas reciclam os conhecimentos pré-existentes de seus pais e cuidadores quando a criança compartilha sua aprendizagem escolar no âmbito domiciliar. O presente estudo teve como objetivo elucidar a experiência de graduandos de medicina em ação educativa sobre prevenção e controle da infecção por covid-19 em escola pública infantil. Trata-se do relato de experiência que buscou destacar as vivências práticas desenvolvidas em campo, na busca de colaborar com a promoção de ações educativas sobre as principais formas de prevenção e controle da Covid-19 em um centro municipal de educação infantil no interior do Maranhão. A ação “Como as crianças podem se prevenir contra a Covid-19?” Foi realizada por acadêmicos de medicina em estágio da atenção primária, na disciplina de Integração Ensino, Serviço e Comunidade (IESC). A atividade foi realizada em abril de 2025 e contou com a participação de 80 crianças entre 3 e 6 anos. Foram abordadas em roda de conversa as medidas de prevenção e controle segundo Ministério da Saúde, que são: higienização das mãos com água e sabão ou álcool 70%, uso de máscaras quando houver sintomas gripais, cobrir nariz e boca com antebraço ou lenço quando tossir ou espirrar, descartar lenços usados e higienizar as mãos, evitar tocar no rosto, boca e olhos com as mãos não higienizadas e manter distanciamento físico em locais públicos. Durante a ação, as crianças foram indagadas sobre a Covid-19 e demonstraram conhecer os principais sintomas abordados, bem como os cuidados primordiais como uso da máscara e higiene das mãos. Observou-se a consolidação de conhecimentos e hábitos saudáveis já existentes entre as crianças. Orienta-se a continuidade de ações educativas para prevenção da Covid-19 na educação infantil. A realização desta ação contribuiu significativamente para reforçar o conhecimento pré-existente do público infantil e para formação acadêmica dos discentes.

  • Abstract: Continuous actions to promote and prevent COVID-19 in preschools strengthen the knowledge not only of this population, but also recycle the pre-existing knowledge of their parents and caregivers when the child shares their school learning at home. This study aimed to elucidate the experience of medical undergraduates in educational actions on the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection in a public preschool. This is an experience report that sought to highlight the practical experiences developed in the field, in order to collaborate with the promotion of educational actions on the main forms of prevention and control of COVID-19 in a municipal early childhood education center in the interior of Maranhão. The action “How can children prevent themselves from COVID-19?” was carried out by medical students in primary care internship, in the Teaching, Service and Community Integration (IESC) discipline. The activity was carried out in April 2025 and was attended by 80 children between 3 and 6 years old. Prevention and control measures according to the Ministry of Health were discussed in a discussion circle, which are: hand hygiene with soap and water or 70% alcohol, use of masks when there are flu-like symptoms, covering the nose and mouth with the forearm or tissue when coughing or sneezing, discarding used tissues and sanitizing hands, avoiding touching the face, mouth and eyes with unwashed hands and maintaining physical distancing in public places. During the action, the children were asked about Covid-19 and demonstrated knowledge of the main symptoms addressed, as well as the essential care such as wearing a mask and hand hygiene. The consolidation of knowledge and healthy habits already existing among the children was observed. The continuation of educational actions to prevent Covid-19 in early childhood education is recommended. The implementation of this action contributed significantly to reinforcing the pre-existing knowledge of the children's audience and to the academic training of students.
