VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A MULHER E A CULTURA DO MACHISMO: RELATO DE UMA ATIVIDADE ACADÊMICA EM PSICOLOGIA SOCIAL
O presente texto apresenta o resultado da produção de um documentário acadêmico referente à Psicologia Social e Violência, com os temas violência contra a mulher e cultura do machismo. Foi desenvolvido no segundo semestre de 2017, por acadêmicas do quarto período do curso de Psicologia, da Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina, no componente curricular de Psicologia Social. Para a elaboração do documentário foram entrevistadas onze pessoas, homens e mulheres, de faixas etárias e áreas de atuação profissional distintas, os quais assinaram o Termo de Autorização de Uso de Imagem e consentiram a prática, tendo suas identidades preservadas. As entrevistas foram orientadas de maneira a problematizar a violência contra a mulher e a cultura do machismo a partir da percepção de profissionais que trabalham com esta demanda, bem como compreender a atuação da Psicologia em situações de violência. Discutiu-se o que é ser mulher em uma sociedade onde o machismo ainda é uma realidade e, historicamente, caracteriza-se como um tipo de violência naturalizada. Outra problemática possibilitada nos diálogos, foi a desigualdade da mulher frente ao homem em termos da empregabilidade. Nas participações dos entrevistados, destacaram-se ainda vários tipos de violência: física, sexual, moral, psicológica e financeira, e a dificuldade de efetuar denúncias e cessar com as violências, geralmente recorrentes. Evidenciou-se, a partir dos depoimentos, que a mulher vivencia um lugar de desigualdade em relação ao homem, e na sua maioria de submissão, visto como “macho” e chefe da família, algo impregnado na cultura regional, trazendo a necessidade de atuação em diversos campos da Psicologia para orientar, prevenir e romper com os paradigmas dessa cultura. Concluiu-se por meio da atividade, que o machismo continua muito presente na sociedade, limitando os espaços que a mulher ocupa, oprimindo, violentando e matando. A busca por igualdade, no entanto, deve persistir e o empoderamento da mulher necessita ser pauta das diversas atuações da Psicologia e demais profissões de saúde, interdisciplinarmente, de outras ciências.

Abstract:
The present work was characterized by the construction of a documentary referring to Social Psychology and Violence, with the themes violence against women and culture of machismo. It was developed in the second semester of 2017, by students from the fourth period of the Psychology course, from the Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina, in the curricular component of Social Psychology. For the preparation of the documentary, eleven people, men and women, of different age groups and professional areas, were interviewed, who signed the Image Use Authorization Term and consented to the practice, with their identities preserved. The interviews were guided by problematizing how women are seen in society and their self-perception, as well as understanding the role of Psychology in situations of violence. It was discussed what it is to be a woman in a society where machismo is still a reality and, historically, it is characterized as a type of naturalized violence. Another problem made possible in the dialogues was the inequality between women and men in terms of employability. In the interviewees' participation, several types of violence also stood out: physical, sexual, moral, psychological and financial, and the difficulty of making complaints and stopping the violence, which is usually recurring. It was evident, from the testimonies, that the woman is submissive to the man, seen as “male” and head of the family, something impregnated with the regional culture, bringing the need to act in several fields of Psychology to guide, prevent and break with the paradigms of that culture. It was concluded by means of the activity, that machismo continues, yes, and a lot, present in society, limiting the spaces that the woman occupies, oppressing, violating and killing. The search for equality, however, must persist and the empowerment of women needs to be the subject of the diverse actions of Psychology and, interdisciplinarily, of other sciences.
