VERTICALIZAÇÃO E REESTRUTURAÇÃO DO BAIRRO: ALTERAÇÕES MORFOLÓGICAS NA PAISAGEM DO BAIRRO SANTA MÔNICA – UBERLÂNDIA (MG)
Este trabalho consiste na análise
das alterações morfológicas ocorridas na
paisagem do bairro Santa Mônica devido à
intensificação da verticalização do espaço e
da diferenciação das tipologias dos edifícios
construídos no bairro após o ano de 2000. A
verticalização do espaço tem sido observada
em diversas cidades de grande e médio porte
no Brasil e a cidade de Uberlândia desde a
década de 1950 contém dentre os elementos
que compõem a sua paisagem os edifícios. A
partir da década de 1990 a verticalização se
descentralizou e é neste contexto que se inicia
a verticalização do bairro Santa Mônica. O
trabalho encontra-se dividido em dois tópicos,
que abordam respectivamente: a estruturação
do espaço intra-urbano de Uberlândia; e, Bairro
Santa Mônica: paisagem e moradia.

Abstract:
This work consists of the analysis
of morphological changes in the landscape
of the Santa Mônica neighborhood due to the
intensification of the verticalization of the space
and the differentiation of the typologies of the
buildings built in the neighborhood after the year
2000. The verticalization of space has been
observed in several large and medium size cities
in Brazil and the city of Uberlândia since the
1950s contains among the elements that make
up its landscape buildings. From the decade of
1990 the verticalization became decentralized
and it is in this context that the verticalization
of the Santa Monica neighborhood begins. The
work is divided in two topics, which address
respectively: the structuring of the intra-urban
space of Uberlândia; and, Santa Monica
neighborhood: landscape and housing.
