Velhice e Atuação Fonoaudiológica
Ao analisar os ciclos da vida o ser humano passa por diversas transformações biopsicossociais, entre eles no período da senescência e senilidade. Nesse contexto as funções de linguagem, estruturas do complexo orofacial, voz, deglutição acompanham também as mudanças corporais. Tendo em vista tais circunstâncias o capítulo tem como objetivo compreender na perspectiva da atuação fonoaudiológica as modificações biológicas e heterogênicas envolvida nas funções de linguagem, deglutição, mastigação, audição, equilíbrio, voz e motricidade orofacial. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura sobre o assunto.

Abstract:
When analyzing life cycles, the human being goes through several biopsychosocial transformations, among them in the period of senescence and senility. In this context, language functions, orofacial complex structures, voice, swallowing also accompany bodily changes. In view of these circumstances, the chapter aims to understand, from the perspective of speech therapy, the biological and heterogeneous changes involved in the functions of language, swallowing, chewing, hearing, balance, voice and orofacial motricity. It is a narrative review of the literature on the subject.
