UTILIZAÇÃO DE UM PROTOCOLO DE AVALIAÇÃO RÁPIDA PARA IDENTIFICAÇÃO DAS CONDIÇÕES AMBIENTAIS PRESENTES EM CINCO PONTOS DO RIO BUCANHA LOCALIZADO NA CIDADE DE TRACUATEUA, NORDESTE PARAENSE.
A água é de fundamental
importância para a manutenção de todos os
organismos vivos, entretanto, esse recurso vem
sofrendo grandes perturbações no decorrer dos
últimos anos. Várias ferramentas foram criadas
afim de atingir esse propósito. O município
de Tracuateua está localizado no nordeste
paraense. Diante disso, o presente trabalho
teve como objetivo caracterizar cinco pontos
distintos ao longo do rio Bucanha, através da
utilização de um protocolo de avalição rápida
da diversidade de habitats como ferramenta
de análise ambiental, proposto por Callisto et
al. (2002). Todos os pontos estão localizados
adjacentes ao centro urbano da cidade. Para
avaliar os níveis de preservação ecológica dos
pontos coletados foi aplicado tal protocolo o
qual avalia não apenas o ambiente aquático,
mas também, a utilização e a ocupação do
solo na região de entorno dos trechos do rio,
e um protocolo utilizado por Hannaford et al.
(1997) no qual avalia-se o estado do ambiente
e a conservação das condições naturais. Os
resultados obtidos a partir da aplicação do
protocolo sugerem que os pontos 1, 2 e 3
possuem pouca ou nenhuma alteração, e os
pontos 4 e 5 classificam-se como alterados e
isso se deve por conta da eliminação de partes
da mata ciliar e a utilização do corpo d`água
para lavagem em geral. Os resultados mostram
que as condições identificadas para os pontos 4
e 5 são passíveis de serem revertidas.

Abstract:
Water is of fundamental
importance for the maintenance of all living
organisms, however, this resource has been
suffering great disturbances in the last years.
Several tools were created to achieve this
purpose. The municipality of Tracuateua is
located in the northeast of Pará. The objective
of this study was to characterize five distinct
points along the Bucanha River, through the
use of a rapid assessment protocol of habitat
diversity as an environmental analysis tool, proposed by Callisto et al. (2002). All points
are located adjacent to the urban center of the city. In order to evaluate the levels of
ecological preservation of the points collected, a protocol was applied which assesses
not only the aquatic environment, but also, the use and occupation of the soil in the
region surrounding the stretches of the river, and a protocol used by Hannaford et al.
(1997) in which the state of the environment and the conservation of natural conditions
are evaluated. The results obtained from the application of the protocol suggest that
points 1, 2 and 3 have little or no change, and points 4 and 5 are classified as altered
and this is due to the elimination of parts of the riparian forest and use of the water body
for washing in general. The results show that the conditions identified for points 4 and
5 can be reversed.
