Abstract: Early childhood is the period from birth to age 5, and it is during this period that most neuropsychomotor development takes place. As a result, it is in this period of time that external interference will have the ability to reverberate throughout life, since it has the ability to modulate brain pathways and circuits that are still developing at this stage. In view of this, the modern post-industrialization world has developed technologically, leading to a society in which there is a technological appreciation and, as a consequence, a dependence on such means of communication, entertainment and business. As a result of these two associated factors, this research is justified in view of the obstacles involving the trend of high consumption of screens during the early childhood period and the consequences arising from this reality. Finally, the present study aims to evaluate the positive and negative impacts of the use of screens during this period for neuropsychomotor development.
