USO DE ÓLEOS ESSENCIAIS COMO PRINCÍPIO ATIVO EM LOÇÕES FITOTERÁPICAS
Devido a crescente demanda por produtos farmacêuticos fitoterápicos que possam contribuir para a saúde da população, observa-se uma oportunidade para desenvolvimento de produtos que sigam esta linha e que atendam este nicho de mercado. A gama de insumos naturais que podem ser incorporados em formulações é extremamente grande, e muitos destes são utilizados desde a antiguidade na medicina tradicional. O óleo de alecrim, proveniente da planta Rosmarinus officinalis L., é um exemplo de matéria-prima vegetal que pode ser utilizado em formulações, pois os fitoquímicos constituintes do seu óleo essencial apresentam propriedades cicatrizantes, analgésicas, anti-inflamatórias e antibacterianas. Visando a utilização destas propriedades, o óleo de alecrim foi incorporado na formulação de uma emulsão loção, que pode ser utilizada em pequenos cortes e machucados. A extração do óleo foi realizada com o equipamento Clevenger usando a técnica de arraste por vapor. Após a extração, o óleo foi incorporado na fase óleosa da formulação. O resultado obtido foi uma loção de coloração branca com baixa viscosidade que será armazenada em frasco com válvula spray, facilitando a aplicação. A loção, inicialmente com odor pungente, gradativamente torna-se agradável ao olfato e em contato com a pele oferece uma sensação refrescante.

Abstract:
Due to the growing demand for herbal pharmaceutical products that can contribute to the health of the population, there is an opportunity for the development of products that follow this line and meet this market niche. The range of natural ingredients that can be incorporated into formulations is extremely large, and many of these have been used since ancient times in traditional medicine. Rosemary oil, from the Rosmarinus officinalis L. plant, is an example of a vegetable raw material that can be used in formulations, as the phytochemicals that make up its essential oil have healing, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Aiming at the use of these properties, rosemary oil was incorporated in the formulation of a lotion emulsion, which can be used on small cuts and bruises. Oil extraction was performed with the Clevenger equipment using the steam drag technique. After extraction, the oil was incorporated into the oily phase of the formulation. The result obtained was a white colored lotion with low viscosity that will be stored in a bottle with a spray valve, facilitating application. The lotion, initially with a pungent odor, gradually becomes pleasant to the smell and in contact with the skin offers a refreshing sensation.
