USO DE FERRAMENTAS COMPUTACIONAIS PARA O AUXÍLIO DO ENSINO: O ESTUDO DE CASO DA ENGENHARIA DE PRODUÇÃO
A inserção das ferramentas
computacionais no processo de ensino e
aprendizagem tem sido cada vez mais vista e
discutida nos diversos âmbitos educacionais.
Neste sentido, o presente artigo tem como
principal objetivo apresentar o estudo de
caso referente à adequação da ferramenta
computacional Matlab no processo de ensino/
aprendizagem no curso de Engenharia de
Produção. Logo, conceitos referentes a esta
área serão discutidos e resolvidos com o uso
desta ferramenta. Os dois conceitos discutidos
são: Curva ABC e Lote Econômico de Compra
(LEC) e, desta forma partir da aplicação da
Curva ABC o grau de importância de diversos
itens podem ser identificados de modo que os
itens prioritários possam receber maior atenção
e cuidados perante a organização. O LEC auxilia
os gestores na quantidade ideal de compra,
esta aplicação relaciona custos operacionais e
financeiros bem como a quantidade demandada
do produto a ser comprado a fim de minimizar os
custos totais. Como resultados serão exibidos
a construção das interfaces com o usuário e
descrição das linhas de código dos algoritmos
e resolução dos problemas com o uso da
ferramenta. Logo, o auxílio das ferramentas
computacionais no processo de ensino/
aprendizagem aos conceitos da Engenharia de
Produção será revelado neste trabalho.

Abstract:
The insertion of computational
tools in the teaching and learning process has
been increasingly seen and discussed in the
various educational environments. In this sense,
the main objective of this article is to present
the case study concerning the adequacy of
the Matlab computational tool in the teaching /
learning process in the Production Engineering
course. Therefore, concepts related to this area
will be discussed and solved with the use of
this tool. The two concepts discussed are: ABC
Curve and Economic Purchase Lot (LEC) and,
thus, from the application of the ABC Curve, the degree of importance of several items
can be identified so that the priority items can receive greater attention and care before
the organization. The LEC assists managers in the optimal quantity of purchase, this
application relates operational and financial costs as well as the quantity demanded
of the product to be purchased in order to minimize the total costs. The results will
show the construction of the user interfaces and description of the code lines of the
algorithms and resolution of problems with the use of the tool. Therefore, the aid of
computational tools in the teaching / learning process to the concepts of Production
Engineering will be revealed in this work.
