USO DE AERONAVES NO TRIPULADAS (DRONES) PARA LA INSPECCIÓN DE MONUMENTOS ARQUITECTÓNICOS Y CONSTRUCCIONES ANTIGUAS
El uso de aeronoaves no tripuladas (RPAS), más conocidas como drones, se ha
venido extendiendo a lo largo de los últimos años con aplicaciones múltiples y muy diversas,
entre las cuales están las inspecciones de elementos de patrimonio arquitectónico,
construcciones singulares y estructuras antiguas o delicadas. El presente artículo nace
precisamente de varias inspecciones rutinarias, llevadas a cabo de forma experimental sobre
elementos patrimoniales diversos, y de una inspección principal detallada, acometida sobre
un puente medieval: el Puente de Brandomil. Con la realización de todas ellas y la
información obtenida, se podrá valorar si la aeronave puede servir como herramienta de
calidad para la realización de los trabajos que actualmente se llevan a cabo con personal
cualificado, el transporte y la instalación de aparatosos medios auxiliares y una alta inversión
económica y de tiempo, especialmente en la cuidadosa planificación de los trabajos.
Del mismo modo, se incide de forma muy especial en la seguridad y en reducción de riesgos:
seguridad y reducción de riesgos hacia el monumento a inspeccionar, y reducción de riesgos
para la seguridad y la salud de los trabajadores que actualmente desempeñan tales labores.

Abstract:
The use of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), better known as drones,
has spread with multiple and very diverse applications in recent years. It includes inspections
of elements of the historical heritage, singular constructions and ancient or delicate structures.
From various inspection heritage this article was born precisely: various several routine
inspections and a significant monument detailed inspection (Brandomil Bridge), all of them
with purely experimental purposes. With the completion of all of them and the information
obtained, it will be possible to assess whether the aircraft can serve as a quality tool for
carrying out the work that is currently being carried out with qualified personnel, the
transportation and installation of bulky auxiliary means and a high economic and time
investment, especially in the careful planning of the works.
There is a very special impact on safety and risk reduction also: safety and risk reduction
towards the monument to be inspected, and reduction of risks for the safety and health of the
workers who currently perform such tasks.
