USO DA BANDAGEM ELÁSTICA ASSOCIADA AO TRATAMENTO FONOAUDIOLÓGICO NO CONTROLE DA SIALORRÉIA EM CRIANÇA COM PARALISIA CEREBRAL
Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo mostrar a eficiência da bandagem elástica no controle de deglutição de saliva e fortalecimento muscular facial em crianças com paralisia cerebral. A pesquisa foi realizada com uma criança de 12 anos na Clínica Saúde Em Evidência, na cidade de Barra Do Garças - MT do sexo masculino, com diagnóstico de paralisia cerebral e queixa de sialorréia. Foi realizada uma anamnese com os pais da criança com perguntas referentes à sialorréia e posteriormente uma entrevista com a fonoaudióloga que também essa realizou intervenções com o paciente afim de verificar a gravidade do caso em análise. Foram realizadas oito aplicações do Taping no músculo orbicular da boca e no músculo supra-hióideo. Verificou-se que houve significativa redução da sialorréia, conseguir sugar em canudinhos de todas as espessuras e apresentou oralização de palavras simples com mais clareza aumentando assim o vocabulário do paciente. Concluindo assim que o método Taping é eficaz na melhora do controle de deglutição de saliva e fortalecimento muscular em crianças com Paralisia Cerebral.

Abstract:
This research aims to show the effectiveness of elastic bandage in the control of saliva swallowing and facial muscle strengthening in children with cerebral palsy. The research was conducted with a 12 - year - old child at the Health In Evidence Clinic, in the city of Barra Do Garças - MT, diagnosed with cerebral palsy and complaining of sialorrhea. An anamnesis was performed with the child's parents with questions regarding sialorrhea and later an interview with the speech therapist who also performed interventions with the patient in order to verify the severity of the case under analysis. Eight taping applications were performed on the orbicularis oris and suprahyoid muscle. It was found that there was a significant reduction in sialorrhea, being able to suck in straws of all thicknesses and presented clearer oralization of simple words thus increasing the patient's vocabulary. In conclusion, the Taping method is effective in improving saliva swallowing control and muscle strengthening in children with Cerebral Palsy.
