Abstract:
The rate of neoplasms, that can
generate sequelae as limb movement limitation,
is increasing. The aim of present study is upper
limb exoskeleton development to simulating the
movement of the elbow joint from commands
given by electromyography (EMG) signals. The
exoskeleton movement is performed through
pneumatic muscles to assist people who have
some reduced mobility sequelae. The use of
this kind of rehabilitation device increases the
quality of life and prevention against other
complications caused by immobility.
