TRATAMENTO HOMEOPÁTICO PARA ARRANCAMENTO DE PENAS EM MARITACA (Psittacara leucophthalmus, PSITTACIDAE, STATIUS MULLER, 1776): RELATO DE CASO
O arrancamento de penas é um problema frequente na clínica aviária, sendo o da família Psittacidae os mais acometidos. Entretanto devido às diversas causas, físicas e comportamentais, o tratamento eficaz é ainda um desafio. O objetivo é relatar um caso arrancamento de penas Psittacara leucophthalmus e a utilização do tratamento homeopático. O paciente apresentava arrancamento das penas na região torácica e abdominal há seis meses. Foi administrado como tratamento homeopático os medicamentos Pulsatilla nigricans em potência M. O uso da terapêutica homeopática auxiliou na redução do sintoma apresentado, sendo satisfatório o tratamento de arrancamento de penas da ave.

Abstract:
The feather plucking it is a frequent disorder in the avian clinic, being those of the family Psittacidae the most affected. However due to the various physical and behavioral causes, effective treatment is still a challenge. The objective is to report a case of pulling Psittacara leucophthalmus feathers and the use of homeopathic treatment. The patient presented pulling of the feathers in the thoracic and abdominal region six months ago. Pulsatilla nigricans in M potency was administered as homeopathic treatment. The use of homeopathic therapy aided in the reduction of the presented symptom, being satisfactory the treatment of feather plucking of the bird.
