TRANSPORTE FLUVIAL POR EMBARCAÇÕES MISTAS: UMA VISÃO ECONÔMICA A PARTIR DO MODELO ECD
No Amazonas o transporte fluvial se faz presente graças a vasta extensão dos rios da bacia Amazônica e sua mobilidade inter-estadual. Esse bem natural possibilita usar tal vantagem hidrográfica para fomentar a economia da região e prover, concomitantemente, a necessidade das comunidades mais afastadas da capital. Dessa forma, este projeto tem o objetivo de realizar uma apresentação e análise do mercado de transporte fluvial no trecho de Manaus – Parintins da Amazônia, utilizando-se dos fundamentos do modelo ECD, caracterizando o transporte de cargas e passageiros, assim como as diretrizes para a sua eficiência e a sugestão de indicadores. Esta pesquisa gira em torno do segmento de embarcações mistas no trecho Manaus – Parintins pelo rio Amazonas, trecho de alta mobilidade de bens, serviços e passageiros. A singularidade de alguns problemas foi exemplificada na questão da estrutura portuária de Manaus e barreiras de entrada muito forte pelo fato de o mercado em questão ser oligopolista.

Abstract:
In Amazonas, river transport is present thanks to the large extension of the rivers of the Amazon basin and their interstate mobility. This natural good makes it possible to use such a hydrographic advantage to foster the region's economy and to provide, at the same time, the need for communities furthest from the capital. Thus, this project aims to make a presentation and analysis of the inland waterway market in the Manaus - Parintins section of the Amazon, using the fundamentals of the ECD model, characterizing cargo and passenger transport, as well as the guidelines for its efficiency and the suggestion of indicators. This research revolves around the segment of mixed vessels in the Manaus - Parintins stretch by the Amazon River, a high mobility stretch of goods, services, and passengers. The uniqueness of some problems as exemplified by the question of the Manaus port structure and extreme entry barriers because the market in question is oligopolistic.
