TRABALHO E ERR NCIA NA CIDADE CONTEMPOR NEA: 25 WATTS E LA VIDA ÚTIL
Este artigo procura analisar dois filmes uruguaios, La Vida Útil (Federico Veiroj, 2010) e 25 Watts (Juan Pablo Rebella e Pablo Stoll, 2001), a partir da construção da imagem da cidade e do trabalho. Trata-se de filmes que compartilham algumas semelhanças estéticas, como a fotografia em preto e branco, bem como a narrativa leve e contemporânea, mas cujos personagens dão sentido a suas existências de forma bastante diferente. Tentaremos mostrar que as diferenças entre os personagens e ao mesmo tempo nossa empatia por ambos estão relacionadas às ambiguidades que vivemos em nossa sociedade.

Abstract:
This article intends to analyze two Uruguayan films, La Vida Útil (Federico Veiroj, 2010) and 25 Watts (Juan Pablo Rebella and Pablo Stoll, 2001), through the construction of the image of the city and work. These are films that share some aesthetic similarities, such as black and white photography, as well as light and contemporary narrative, but whose characters give meaning to their existences quite differently. We will try to show that the differences between the characters and at the same time our empathy for both are related to ambiguities that we live in our society.
