TÉCNICAS DE CUIDADOS DE HIGIENE BUCAL PARA PACIENTES EM VENTILAÇÃO MECÂNICA
A higiene oral é uma conduta muito importante na qual ocorre a limpeza adequada de toda cavidade oral eliminando riscos de infecções orais e sistêmicas, adequando a saúde bucal do indivíduo, principalmente quando é um utente de um setor grave, como uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI), que é totalmente dependente de cuidados dos profissionais. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar uma revisão de literatura com propriedades da higienização bucal abordando técnicas, vantagens e desvantagens, facilidades de execução da higienização, com seleção dos materiais, indicações, passo a passo, observações, cuidados antes, durante e depois do procedimento e a importância do cirurgião-dentista para diminuição das infecções hospitalares. Foi realizado busca eletrônica com pesquisas nas bases de dados Google acadêmico, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), artigos de universidades, revistas, que se enquadrou ao tema, com palavras chaves de "Higiene bucal" e "Paciente em ventilação mecânica". Foram adotados como critérios de Inclusão do estudo a) livros e artigos que entraram em íntegra com a produção do manual; b) artigos publicados nos últimos 08 anos; c) artigos que sejam da língua portuguesa, inglesa e espanhola. Como critérios de exclusão a) aqueles trabalhos, teses, monografias, dentre outros que não estejam entre os últimos 08 anos e que não seja relacionado ao tema do trabalho.

Abstract:
Oral hygiene is a very important conduct in which adequate cleaning of the entire oral cavity occurs, eliminating risks of oral and systemic infections, adapting the individual's oral health, especially when he is a user of a serious sector, such as an Intensive Care Unit ( ICU), which is totally dependent on professional care. The objective of this work was to carry out a literature review with oral hygiene properties addressing techniques, advantages and disadvantages, facilities for carrying out hygiene, with selection of materials, indications, step by step, observations, care before, during and after the procedure and the importance of the dentist to reduce hospital infections. An electronic search was performed with searches in the Google academic databases, Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), articles from universities, magazines, which fit the theme, with keywords "Oral hygiene" and "Patient on mechanical ventilation". The inclusion criteria for the study were adopted: a) books and articles that entered in full with the production of the manual; b) articles published in the last 08 years; c) articles that are in Portuguese, English and Spanish. As exclusion criteria a) those works, theses, monographs, among others that are not between the last 08 years and that are not related to the theme of the work.
