SOCIAL ASSISTANCE DEVELOPED IN THE ASSOCIATION OF PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF EXCEPTIONALS (APAE)
RESUMO: Esta pesquisa buscou verificar se o trabalho desenvolvido pela Assistência Social da APAE Ananindeua (Estado do Pará) junto as famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social está relacionado à promoção da educação e da efetivação dos direitos humanos. Partiu-se de uma pesquisa documental, de campo e participante, ou seja, abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, seguindo o raciocínio indutivo, a fim de investigar o trabalho desenvolvido pelo setor de Serviço Social da APAE, a partir de uma amostra de 51 sujeitos (34% do universo de 148), utilizando questionário com perguntas estruturadas a fim de conhecer o impacto desse tipo de trabalho junto às famílias. Assim a pesquisa observou que a grande maioria dos entrevistados acredita que a APAE, ao desenvolver um Serviço Social prestado às famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social, gera um significativo impacto social, pelo conhecimento adquirido a partir das práticas educativas, o que se se constitui uma instituição defensora da cidadania destas famílias, na medida em que desenvolve ações socioeducativas que buscam solução de problemas específicos de cada núcleo familiar, promovem a educação para a cidadania e direitos humanos e por fim, levam dignidade a famílias em situação de pobreza e de desigualdade social.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT: This research sought to verify if the work developed by the APAE Ananindeua Social Assistance (State of Pará) with families in situation of social vulnerability is related to the promotion of education and the realization of human rights. The study was based on a qualitative and qualitative approach, based on inductive reasoning, in order to investigate the work carried out by the APAE Social Service sector, based on a sample of 51 subjects (34% of the universe Of 148), using questionnaire with structured questions in order to know the impact of this type of work with the families. Thus, the research observed that the vast majority of respondents believe that the APAE, by developing a Social Service provided to families in situations of social vulnerability, generates a significant social impact, through the knowledge acquired from educational practices, what constitutes An institution that defends the citizenship of these families, insofar as it develops socio-educational actions that seek to solve specific problems of each family nucleus, promote education for citizenship and human rights and, finally, bring dignity to families in situations of poverty and inequality social.
