SOB AS ORDENS DA IGREJA: AS AÇÕES DE DOM LUCIANO JOSÉ CABRAL DUARTE NA CONSTRUÇÃO E CONSOLIDAÇÃO DO GINÁSIO DE APLICAÇÃO DE SERGIPE (1960-1965)
A pesquisa em destaque, evidencia
a atuação de Dom Luciano José Cabral Duarte
na construção e consolidação do Ginásio
de Aplicação/GA da Faculdade Católica
de Filosofia de Sergipe/FCFS, buscando
analisar a implantação de novas práticas
pedagógicas, assim como o resultado dessas
metodologias educacionais em uma sociedade
em transformação. O marco temporal justificase pois, em 1960, corresponde ao ano de
inauguração e, 1965, ano de conclusão da
primeira turma. Vale destacar que até 1965, o
GA funcionou somente com o ensino ginasial. Os
primeiros ginásios no Brasil foram construídos
como locais onde os alunos concludentes do
curso de Didática das Faculdades de Filosofia,
experimentassem a prática pedagógica. No
entanto, esses estabelecimentos ganharam
notoriedade no país, e transformaram-se
em espaços propícios ao desenvolvimento
de metodologias educativas inovadoras. Em
Sergipe não foi diferente. Idealizado em 1959 e
inaugurado em 1960, pelo então padre Luciano
José Cabral Duarte, o GA serviu também como
espaço onde novas práticas educativas fossem
implantadas. Metodologicamente aparada nas
pesquisas qualitativas e fundamentada com
autores que tratam da temática da História da
Educação e/ou História Cultural, a pesquisa
justifica-se pela relevância e contribuição ao
cenário historiográfico educacional, buscando
preencher possíveis lacunas acerca das
temáticas aqui destacadas.

Abstract:
The featured research evidentiates
the acting of Dom Luciano José Cabral Duarte
in the construction and consolidation of the
Gymnasium of Application/GA of the Sergipe
Catholic Faculty of Philosophy/CFPS, aiming
at analyzing the implementation of new
pedagogical practices, as well as the result of
these educational methodologies in a changing
society. The temporal mark justifies itself as 1960
corresponds to the year of launch, and 1965
to the year of conclusion of the first class. It is
important to highlight that, until 1965, the GA worked only with the gymnasium teaching.
The first gymnasiums in Brazil were built as places were the students that had finished
the Didactic course of the Faculties of Philosophy would experience the pedagogical
practice. However, these establishments gained notoriety in the country, and turned
into proper spaces to the development of innovative educational methodologies. In
Sergipe it was not different. Idealized in 1959 and opened in 1960, by the former priest
Luciano José Cabral Duarte, the GA served also as a space where the new educational
practices were implemented. Methodologically supported in the qualitative researches
and fundamented with authors that treat the History of Education theme and/or Cultural
History, the research is justified by the relevance and contribution to the educational
historiographic scenario, with the intention of fulfilling possible gaps about the here
highlighted thematics.
