SINTOMAS VOCAIS AUTORREFERIDOS POR PROFESSORES DA REDE MUNICIPAL DE SÃO PAULO
O objetivo deste estudo é analisar a autorreferência de sintomas vocais em professores da rede municipal de São Paulo, por meio de estudo retrospectivo, com acesso a banco de dados secundários de professores que preencheram o instrumento Índice de Triagem de Distúrbio Vocal (ITDV). Dentre os 391 professores analisados, 96,4% eram do sexo feminino, 65,7% apresentavam uma única atuação (educação infantil) e 57,3% registraram distúrbio de voz (DV). Dentre as diferenças estatisticamente significativas, observou-se associação entre a presença de DV e o tipo de atuação, carga horária e tempo de experiência (p<0,001); professores com mais de 39 anos de idade e com mais de 12 anos de experiência apresentaram uma chance de OR=2,54 (p<0,001) de terem DV; e em relação ao tipo de atuação, professores da educação infantil apresentaram uma chance maior de terem DV quando comparados aos demais (OR=1,73; p=0,016).

Abstract:
This study aims to investigate self-reported vocal symptoms in teachers from the municipal network of São Paulo, through a retrospective study using a secondary database of teachers who completed the Voice Disorder Screening Index (IDTV) instrument. Among the 391 participating teachers, 96.4% were female, 65.7% worked in a single level (child education) and 57.3% reported having a voice disorder (VD). Among the statistically significant differences, an association was found between the presence of VD and the type of activity, workload and length of experience (p<0.001); teachers over 39 years of age and with more than 12 years of experience had an OR=2.54 (p<0.001) of having a VD; in turn, regarding the type of activity, early childhood education teachers were more likely to have a VD when compared to others (OR=1.73; p=0.016).
