Abstract: Introduction: Patient safety is a central aspect of hospital care, requiring ethical and practical actions by the multidisciplinary team. In the Brazilian hospital context, overcoming structural and organizational challenges depends on collective engagement and the continuous training of professionals. Objective: To analyze the ethical and practical role of the multidisciplinary team in promoting patient safety in the Brazilian hospital context. Method: This is a qualitative Integrative Literature Review (ILR) conducted in August 2025, with searches for scientific publications indexed in the MEDLINE and BDENF databases. Results: The study findings highlight that patient safety relies on the ethical and coordinated actions of the multidisciplinary team. Continuous education and the implementation of protocols are essential to reduce risks and improve the quality of care. Additionally, factors such as institutional support and collective engagement are crucial to overcome organizational and structural challenges. Conclusion: Collective engagement and institutional support are fundamental to ensuring quality and reducing risks in patient care.
