SAÚDE BUCAL QUILOMBOLA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Os quilombos são bairros rurais, onde as famílias têm vínculos de parentesco com descendentes de escravos e preservam a cultura de modo tradicional. Muitos desses indivíduos vivem da agricultura. OBJETIVO: O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar e sintetizar a literatura acerca da saúde bucal dos indivíduos quilombolas brasileiros. METODOLOGIA: Trata - se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. As bases de dados pesquisadas em agosto de 2019 foram: National Library of Medicine (PubMed) e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). RESULTADOS: Nesta revisão integrativa, foram incluído 2 artigos científicos, os quais obedeceram aos requisitos de elegibilidade previamente definidos. As informações do quadro 1 retratam a síntese das principais características dos estudos incluídos na pesquisa. CONCLUSÃO: Diante do cenário pode-se observar que há dificuldades que limitam o acesso à saúde bucal para esses indivíduos quilombolas, como a carência da educação em saúde bucal e da higienização oral prévia, acarretando altos índices de placa bacteriana visível e cárie dentária no indivíduos quilombolas desabastecidos pelos benefícios advindos de água fluoretada.

Abstract:
Quilombos are rural neighborhoods where families are related to descendants of slaves and preserve culture in a traditional way. Many of these individuals live off agriculture. OBJECTIVE: This article aims to analyze and synthesize the literature on the oral health of Brazilian quilombola individuals. METHODOLOGY: This is an integrative literature review. The databases were searched in August 2019: National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). RESULTS: Two scientific articles were included in this review which complied with the previously defined eligibility requirements. The information in table 1 depicts the synthesis of the main characteristics of the studies included in the research. CONCLUSION: Given the scenario, it can be observed that there are difficulties that limit access to oral health for these quilombola individuals, such as the lack of oral health education and prior oral hygiene, leading to high levels of visible plaque and dental caries in individuals quilombolas depleted by the benefits of fluoridated water.
