Abstract: The main objective of this research is to determine how competency-based training and the Saber-Pro test contribute to the quality of higher education in Colombia. The study examines the dimensions of educational quality established by multilateral organizations, the scope of the Saber-Pro tests, and recommendations for achieving high-quality higher education. The latter may include improving alignment between competency-based training frameworks and the content of the Saber-Pro test, promoting accessibility of test results and resources to institutions to enhance their educational programs.
