REVISITANDO A GEOMETRIA: SIMETRIA NO PLANO
Este capítulo apresenta o registro
de um minicurso desenvolvido com professores
dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental em
um evento de Educação Matemática ocorrido
em Campinas no ano de 2018. A proposta
apresentada aos docentes tinha por objetivo
ressaltar a importância do ensino de geometria
nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental a partir
da análise de atividades envolvendo conceitos
geométricos referentes a simetria de figuras no
plano. A atividade desenvolvida fazia parte de
uma das fases da pesquisa do GEPEME/UEM –
Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Matemática
Escolar cujo objetivo era o de validarmos, com
professores e profissionais que atuam nos
anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, a versão
preliminar do material que se encontra em
processo de elaboração e que servirá de apoio
aos profissionais que atuam nesse nível de
ensino.

Abstract:
This chapter presents the register
of a mini-course developed with teachers from
the initial years of Elementary Education at a
Mathematics Education event held in Campinas
in the year 2018. The proposal presented to
the teachers aimed to highlight the importance
of teaching geometry in the years initials of the
Elementary School from the analysis of activities
involving geometric concepts referring to the
symmetry of figures in the plane. The activity
developed was part of one of the research
phases of GEPEME / UEM - Group of Studies
and Research in School Mathematics whose
objective was to validate, with teachers and
professionals who work in the initial years of
Elementary School, the preliminary version of
the material that is in the process of elaboration
and will serve as a support for the professionals
who work at this level of education.
