Abstract: The endemic and fruit species existing in the Amazon are sources of food and income mainly for families living in traditional rural communities, moreover, they have unique flavors, and can be used for different purposes: cakes, sweets, salty, etc. or else, consumed in nature. In this sense, this article addresses the theme, Literature Review: The Amazon Biome, economic sustainability and nutritional benefits of Amazonian fruits, with the main objective of describing the economic and nutritional importance of Amazonian exotic fruits from scientific research in the literature between the years 2000 to 2024. This is an investigation that was based on the following question problem: Does literature in vernacular have, relevant literary collection for a study to be developed having as time between 2000 and 2024, about the exotic or native fruits of the Amazonian biome? It is justified from the moment that the diversity provided by the Amazonian biome, and this involves the native fruits, which can also be considered endemic occupy captive place in the traditional culture of several communities, besides, these fruits, are part of the families menu and, consequently, contribute to the generation of income and quality of life. The integrative literature review method was used in publications available on electronic platforms and/or libraries. The results show that native fruits belonging to the Amazonian biome begin to establish themselves in different sectors of the economy, however, who collects, grows, and consequently sells it at fairs in the public space, needs special attention, considering that such exotic/ native fruits are fundamental for income generation and quality of life of hundreds of families who develop family farming in traditional communities throughout the Amazon.
