• Abstract: The dedication of pharmaceutical activities to cancer patients generates improvement and the search for strategies that can amplify pharmaceutical assistance. The restandardization of the supply profile and pharmacological guidelines of a day clinic oncology service optimizes the stock and treatments of tumors with a higher incidence, with the transversal perspective of reducing the costs of materials and medicines (MAT/MED) of restricted use. It was decided that the pharmacist, together with the EMTA (Multiprofessional Team in Antineoplastic Therapy), would review the supply profile of the last five years in order to format the selection of MAT/MED, classifying them into an analysis curve (ABC, XYZ and 123) together with administrative management. The new standardization brought evidence of effectiveness, efficiency, safety and studies from a clinical and technical point of view of pharmaceutical products. Standardizing materials and medicines addresses needs and maximizes opportunities for improvement and sustainability throughout the patient's care chain and the company's financial strength, establishing triggers for continuous assessments.
