RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA DE UM MINICURSO SOBRE DOENÇAS DE IMPACTO À SAÚDE DO VIAJANTE: UMA ABORDAGEM INTERDISCIPLINAR
Poucos pacientes realizam consulta pré-viagem, desencadeando riscos de adoecimento e disseminação de doenças. A articulação entre medicina e turismo pode funcionar como ferramenta de promoção e proteção da saúde. O objetivo do presente trabalho consiste em refletir acerca dos benefícios do minicurso “Doenças de impacto à saúde do viajante” ministrado por acadêmicos de medicina a graduandos em turismo. Contemplaram-se os temas: difteria, tétano, sarampo, rubéola, influenza, febre amarela, febre tifoide, poliomielite, febre maculosa, esquistossomose, histoplasmose, malária, dengue, zika, chikungunya, encefalite japonesa, hepatites virais, leishmanioses, diarreia do viajante, ataques de animais peçonhentos, a pandemia de COVID-19 e as imunizações recomendadas em diversos destinos. Foi observado o desenvolvimento da competência dialógica; a possibilidade de despertar interesse à docência; o trabalho em equipe e noções de responsabilidade e operosidade. O curso gerou múltiplos benefícios à formação médica e trouxe novas informações aos turismólogos em potencial. Recomenda-se a reprodução dessa experiência.

Abstract:
Few patients have pre-travel consultations, triggering risks of illness and spread of diseases. An articulation between medicine and tourism can function as a tool for health promotion and protection. Objective: To reflect on the benefits of the minicourse “Diseases that impact the health of the traveler” taught by medical students to tourism students. The themes were: diphtheria, tetanus, measles, rubella, influenza, yellow fever, typhoid fever, polio, spotted fever, schistosomiasis, histoplasmosis, malaria, dengue, zika, chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis, viral hepatitis, leishmaniasis, traveller's diarrhea, attacks of venomous animals, the COVID-19 pandemic and the immunizations recommended in several destinations. It was observed the development of dialogic competence; the possibility of arousing interest in teaching; teamwork and notions of responsibility and operability. The course brought multiple benefits to medical training and gave new information to the public. We recommend reproducing this experience.
