RELATO DE CASO: CORONECTOMIA COMO ALTERNATIVA CIRÚRGICA PARA DENTES IMPACTADOS.
Coronectomia é uma alternativa
cirúrgica, indicada para terceiros molares
inferiores que estão próximos ao canal
mandibular, aumentando o risco de lesão
ao nervo alveolar inferior e assim, podendo
provocar parestesia temporária ou definitiva no
paciente. Esta técnica remove a coroa do dente,
deixando as raízes íntegras in situ. É necessário
que o profissional conheça a técnica e os
critérios de diagnóstico por imagem, respeite as
indicações e contraindicações para selecionar
corretamente o paciente, sendo de fundamental
importância sempre informar o paciente dos
riscos e benefícios por meio de um termo de
consentimento livre e esclarecido. O objetivo
do trabalho, é relatar o caso de uma paciente
diagnosticada com terceiro molar inferior com
necessidade de extração e com íntimo contato
com o canal mandibular.

Abstract:
Coronectomy is a surgical
alternative, indicated for lower third molars that
are close to the mandibular canal, increasing
the risk of injury to the inferior alveolar nerve
and thus, causing temporary or definitive
paraesthesia in the patient. This technique
removes the crown of the tooth, leaving the
roots intact in situ. It is necessary for the
professional to know the technique and criteria
for diagnostic imaging, respect the indications
and contraindications to correctly select the
patient, and it is of fundamental importance to always inform the patient of the risks
and benefits through a free and informed consent term. The objective of this study is to
report the case of a patient diagnosed with a third molar inferior with need of extraction
and with close contact with the mandibular canal.
