RELAÇÕES MAXILOMANDIBULARES E OCLUSÃO
O sucesso de reabilitações sejam elas sobre dentes ou implantes, devem seguir uma criteriosa avaliação dos padrões oclusais levando-se em consideração as particularidades de cada caso. A tomada das relações de oclusão se torna imprescindível para avaliar os contatos dentários a fim de realizar a reabilitação partindo de uma oclusão ideal, sem interferências ou contatos prematuros, que ocasionam problemas tanto à prótese quanto às estruturas adjacentes. A reabilitação sobre implante segue os critérios de uma oclusão ideal, entretanto por apresentar características específicas, como a ausência de ligamento periodontal, seu registro oclusal é diferente daqueles observados em outros tipos de próteses e de dentes naturais.

Abstract:
The success of rehabilitations, whether on teeth or implants, must follow a precise evaluation of the occlusion, considering the particularities of each case. Measuring the occlusion is essential to evaluate the dentals contacts, to make the rehabilitation starting from an ideal occlusion, with no interferences or premature contacts that cause problems to the prosthesis and adjacent structures. The rehabilitation over implants follow the criteria of an ideal occlusion, although, because it has some particularities, such as the absence of periodontal ligament, its occlusion is different from others observed with a different type of prosthesis and in natural teeth.
