Abstract: The study aims to know in the literature the importance of SAMU 192 in the health education of the population, since the knowledge of the population in emergency situations to increase the survival of serious health problems is of paramount importance. It also aims to verify the existence of SAMU teams that carry out these works with health education, to know the importance of knowledge in first aid by lay people and to raise the ways of functioning of the SAMU service, with the activation by number 192. The methodology consists of a bibliographical review with theoretical basis of scientific articles. This theoretical approach made possible reflections under the theme, reinforced how the SAMU 192 service works, presents results of first aid workshops by health professionals in schools and in the community, informs that the knowledge of lay people in emergency situations can reduce mortality from these diseases.
