Abstract: This project focuses on the redesign and improvement of a dry bean peeling machine originally designed by Juan Ramos Gómez in 2011. The fundamental objective is the implementation of an electric motor to enhance the bean peeling process and raise production to an optimal level. 60 kilograms of peeled beans per hour. The problem it addresses lies in the traditional manual peeling of broad beans using knives with hooks in the Yunguyo district, Peru, resulting in injuries for producers and contamination of the product. To solve this challenge, a methodical approach was applied that included a detailed analysis and reference of the original design, followed by a thorough redesign using AutoCAD software. A functional prototype was manufactured that simulated the engine with an electric drill, accurately calculating the optimal speed and power. The results obtained were encouraging, demonstrating a significant increase in efficiency and productivity, reaching the production goal of 60 kilograms of peeled beans per hour. The conclusion is that the implementation of an electric motor in the bean peeling machine represents a viable technological solution to improve the quality and quantity of production, in addition to mitigating the risks associated with manual peeling. The use of inexpensive and recycled materials in the prototype underlines its sustainable potential and accessibility for agricultural producers in the región.
