“Queremos que a gente fale e ele obedeça”: dificuldades no estabelecimento de limites
A contemporaneidade é marcada por inúmeras discussões entre profissionais da educação e da área do desenvolvimento infantil no que concerne ao estabelecimento de limites. Pais e professores vêm encontrando dificuldades em estabelecer limites para os filhos e os alunos de modo adequado. O presente estudo objetivou analisar a percepção dos pais de crianças de 3 a 6 anos acerca da construção de limites, bem como as estratégias utilizadas para educar as crianças. Para tanto, foram entrevistados 5 mães, 3 pais e 1 padrasto, maiores de 18 anos e que tinham filhos considerados pelos professores como agitados, impulsivos e sem limites. As entrevistas foram realizadas em duas escolas públicas da rede municipal de uma cidade do Estado de Minas Gerais. Os achados do presente estudo salientaram as dificuldades dos pais em estabelecer limites para os filhos, sendo que na tentativa de educá-los, os progenitores usaram estratégias como palmadas e chineladas, bem como retirar algo que as crianças gostam ou sentar em um canto para pensar em suas ações, excluindo a possibilidade de diálogo e de dar voz aos pequenos para se expressarem e compreenderem as regras impostas socialmente. Percebeu-se que as explicações sobre os motivos dos castigos foram estratégias pouco citadas. Ressalta-se ainda que os pais utilizam a tecnologia, em seus cotidianos, para silenciar ou entreter as crianças e que os momentos de brincadeiras em família são pouco freqüentes, períodos tão importantes para a construção e o fortalecimento de laços emocionais entre progenitores e filhos.

Abstract:
Contemporaneity is marked by numerous discussions between education and child development professionals regarding the establishment of limits. Parents and teachers are finding it difficult to properly set limits for their children and students. The present study aimed to analyze the perception of parents of children aged 3 to 6 years about the construction of limits, as well as the strategies used to educate children. For that, 5 mothers, 3 fathers and 1 stepfather were interviewed, over 18 years old and who had children considered by the teachers as agitated, impulsive and without limits. The interviews were carried out in two public schools in the municipal network of a city in the State of Minas Gerais. The findings of the present study highlighted the difficulties of parents in setting limits for their children, and in an attempt to educate them, parents used strategies such as spanking and flipping, as well as removing something that children like or sitting in a corner to think. in their actions, excluding the possibility of dialogue and giving voice to the little ones to express themselves and understand the rules imposed socially. It was noticed that the explanations about the reasons for the punishments were little mentioned strategies. It is also noteworthy that parents use technology, in their daily lives, to silence or entertain children and that moments of family play are infrequent, periods that are so important for the construction and strengthening of emotional bonds between parents and children.
