Quem é Górgias, no Górgias platônico?
“Conheça te, a ti mesmo”, frase socrática clássica que insere a questão da necessidade que um ser humano tem de conhecer a si próprio, entender quem é e, assim, ter sua identidade definida. Entretanto, “identidade” é algo encarado muito mais como uma const como um fator previamente existente, na pósrução do que modernidade, pensadores como Zygmunt Bauman e Stuart Hall entendem tal construção como uma conexão de fatores sociais, culturais e políticos. Pensar na identidade de alguém e debater tal fator é um e sforço para tentar compreender seu contexto e como o próprio identifica com qualidades verídico-- se; Platão não retrata a figura de Górgias realistas plenas, mas como um personagem com o fim de retratar uma reflexão, assim, podemos então questionar a figura de Górgias para tentar entender melhor também o debate que Platão levantou em sua obra, abordando a questão da retórica, da persuasão e da figura socrática.

Abstract:
“Know thyself”, a classic Socratic quote that give us the question of a need that all human beings have to know themselves, understand who they are and, thus, have their identity defined. However, “identity” is seen much more as a construction than as a previously existing factor, in postmodernity, thinkers such as Zygmunt Bauman and Stuart Hall understand such construction as a connection of social, cultural and political factors. Thinking about someone's identity and discussing this factor is an effort to try to understand their context and how they identify themselves as people; Plato does not portray the figure of Górgias with truthful realistic qualities, but as a character in order to give us a debate on his dialogue, so we can then question the figure of Górgias to try to bet ter understand the debate that Plato raised in his work, addressing the question of rhetoric, persuasion and the Socratic figure.
