PROTOCOLO DE ATUAÇÃO EM ÂMBITO HOSPITALAR DAS EQUIPES DE CIRURGIA E TRAUMATOLOGIA BUCOMAXILOFACIAL E ODONTOLOGIA HOSPITALAR NA ATENÇÃO AO PACIENTE INFANTIL COM ABSCESSO DENTÁRIO
O presente estudo tem por finalidade a elaboração de um protocolo para a orientação da equipe de Odontologia Hospitalar Infantil e Cirurgia e Traumatologia Bucomaxilofacial frente a um paciente infantil com infecção odontogênica em âmbito hospitalar. A sua implementação objetiva a definição das especialidades envolvidas na atuação multidisciplinar, a qual tem por consequência um cuidado holístico do paciente e uma resolutividade do quadro clínico com base nos princípios do SUS. Este protocolo foi organizado por profissionais cirurgiões dentistas, com base teórica-científica e prática clínica. Resultou se um protocolo de procedimento padrão (PPH) e fluxograma. Conclui se que o protocolo de gestão é uma ferramenta que permite uma base mais racional para padronização na referência, a fim de reduzir a variação inadequada na prática dos profissionais envolvidos com o atendimento infantil em âmbito hospitalar, consequentemente garante um serviço seguro e com maior grau de confiabilidade em pacientes infantis.

Abstract:
The present study aims to develop a protocol to guide the team of Children's Hospital Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology in the face of a child patient with odontogenic infection in the hospital. Its implementation aims at defining the specialties involved in multidisciplinary work, which results in holistic patient care and resolving the clinical condition based on the principles of SUS. This protocol was organized by professional dental surgeons, with theoretical and scientific basis and clinical practice. It resulted in a standard procedure protocol (PPH) and flow chart. It is concluded that the management protocol is a tool that allows a more rational basis for standardization in the reference, in order to reduce the inappropriate variation in the practice of professionals involved with child care in hospitals, consequently it guarantees a safe service and with a higher degree of reliability in infant patients.
