• Abstract:

  The construction industry is the

  largest consumer of the red ceramic industries

  producing bricks, tiles and tiles, which generate

  considerable amounts of waste during the

  production process. The purpose of this paper

  was to elaborate a PGRS Proposal on the

  burning, inspection and classification stages

  in a red ceramic industry located on the Trans

  amazon Highway, km 08, Vila São José, Maraba

  -Pará. The methodology used was bibliographic

  research, on-site visits, follow-up of the burning

  stages, and inspection and classification for

  each of the eight furnaces, identification of the

  generated residues, classification of residues

  according to ABNT NBR 10004: 2004 and

  quantitative survey of these residues. The data

  obtained and analyzed indicated that the residues identified in the stages of burning and,

  inspection and classification were those resulting from the breakdown of the products

  after burning and the ash generated by the incomplete combustion of the sawdust

  powder used as fuel in the furnaces. Therefore, it is necessary to elaborate the PGRS

  Proposal for industry and it was verified that its application is of paramount importance

  to prevent the generation of waste, to guarantee its proper destination and to contribute

  to the reduction of costs and waste, benefits both in the economic environment and

  social and environmental.
