PROJETO FORA DA ESTRADA, DENTRO DA FLORESTA: AÇÕES EDUCATIVAS PARA SENSIBILIZAÇÃO E PREVENÇÃO AO ATROPELAMENTO DE FAUNA SILVESTRE EM NITERÓI, RJ.
O Projeto “Fora da Estrada,
dentro da floresta” trata-se de um projeto de
extensão universitária, realizado através da
parceria entre a Faculdade de Veterinária
da UFF e a Secretaria de Meio Ambiente,
Recursos Hídricos e Sustentabilidade de Niterói
(SMARHS). Possui por objetivo a realização de
atividades educativas para sensibilização da
população em relação ao impacto gerado pelo
atropelamento de fauna silvestre e contribuir
com outras possíveis soluções para sua
mitigação. No ano de 2017 foram realizadas
duas ações educativas: o Dia de Urubuzar, no
período de 8 a 10 de junho e a Semana Fora
da Estrada, dentro da Floresta, no período
de 6 a 10 de novembro. No decorrer das
ações foram realizadas diferentes atividades
educativas junto a alunos da educação
básica e educação superior, profissionais da
Prefeitura de Niterói, motoristas e visitantes de
Unidades de Conservação (UC). A estratégia
educativa utilizada dependeu do público-alvo
atingido: para os alunos da educação superior
e profissionais foram ministradas palestras,
enquanto para alunos da educação básica
optou-se pela realização de atividades lúdicas,
para os alunos da educação infantil, palestras
e vídeos para alunos do ensino fundamental e
médio, ditribuição de material informativo para
motoristas e visitantes das UC. Atingiu-se um
público-alvo total de 1.193 pessoas, sendo 369
pessoas no Dia de Urubuzar e 824 pessoas na
Semana Fora da Estrada, dentro da Floresta. A
atividade se mostrou satisfatória, contando com
ampla participação do público-alvo atingido
e se destacando como uma das principais
ações para a preservação da fauna silvestre no
município.

Abstract:
The project “off the road, into the
Forest,” this is a university extension project,
conducted through a partnership between the College of veterinary medicine and the
Department of Environment, Water Resources and Sustainability of Niterói (SMARHS).
Has as its objective the realization of educational activities to raise awareness of the
population regarding the impact generated by the trampling of wildlife and contribute
with other possible solutions to your mitigation. In the year 2017, two educative actions:
the Urubuzar day, from 8 to 10 June and the “Week Off The Road, into the Forest”, in
the period from 6 to 10 November. In the course of actions were carried out various
educational activities with the students of basic education and higher education,
professionals in the city of Niterói, drivers and visitors of conservation units (UC). The
educational strategy used depended on the audience reached: for higher education
students and professionals were taught lectures, while basic education students opted
for fun activities for students of early childhood education, lectures and videos for
middle and high school students and distribution of informational material for drivers
and visitors of UC. Reached a total audience of 1,193 people, 369 people on the day of
Urubuzar and 824 people week off the road, into the Forest. The activity proved to be
satisfactory, with broad participation of the target audience reached and standing out
as one of the main actions for the preservation of wildlife in the municipality.
