PROJETO DE EXTENSÃO E A VIVÊNCIA DA INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO: PERCEPÇÃO DE UMA ACADÊMICA EM FISIOTERAPIA
Face às novas diretrizes curriculares
nacionais tornam-se evidentes as transformações
que vêm ocorrendo nas graduações em saúde.
O ensino de Fisioterapia participa destas
adaptações metodológicas fazendo com que
a docência universitária seja uma temática
em constante movimento, envolvendo as
atividades de extensão como formadoras de
futuros profissionais. Este trabalho apresenta
um relato da percepção de uma acadêmica de
Fisioterapia enquanto parte da equipe do projeto
de extensão Rede de vigilância em saúde para
idosos institucionalizados (Revisii). O projeto
objetiva promoção da saúde e prevenção de
incapacidades aos moradores da instituição.
Nas atividades desenvolvidas promovese atendimento em fisioterapia, juntamente
com educação em saúde entre docentes,
acadêmicos, profissionais de saúde, usuários e
familiares, proporcionando um olhar consciente,
crítico, transformador e humanizado sobre as
necessidades dos moradores institucionalizados
e do papel de cada ator neste processo.
Considerando a promoção de melhor qualidade
de vida e funcionalidade, foram atendidos em
média trinta idosos moradores da instituição de
longa permanência, e realizamos atendimentos
de até cinco pacientes por dia. No decorrer dos
atendimentos percebemos a melhora do humor,
interação e bem-estar físico dos indivíduos,
aprimorando a convivência entre eles.

Abstract:
In face of the new national curricular directives, the transformations that
have taken place in health graduations are evident. The teaching of Physiotherapy
participates in these methodological adaptations, making university teaching a constant
theme, involving extension activities as trainers of future professionals. This paper
presents an account of the perception of a Physiotherapist academic as part of the
team of the extension project Network of health surveillance for institutionalized elderly
(Revisii). The project aims to promote health and prevention of disabilities to residents
of the institution. In the activities carried out, physical therapy care is promoted, along
with health education among teachers, academics, health professionals, users and
families, providing a conscious, critical, transforming and humanized view on the needs
of the institutionalized residents and the role of each actor in this process. Considering
the promotion of a better quality of life and functionality, thirty elderly people from
the long-term institution were cared for on average, and we performed care for up to
five patients per day. In the course of the visits we perceive the improvement of the
mood, interaction and physical well-being of the individuals, improving the coexistence
between them.
