PROGRAMA INSTITUCIONAL DE BOLSAS DE INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA DE UM BOLSISTA DO CURSO DE MEDICINA
A participação em projetos de pesquisa de iniciação científica nas universidades é uma ferramenta importante para qualificação dos discentes e inserção na vida acadêmica. Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar a experiência vivenciada por um discente da graduação do curso de medicina, como bolsista do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica (PIBIC), a fim de incentivar outros discentes a interessarem-se pela pesquisa científica. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo das atividades desenvolvidas pelo bolsista PIBIC entre agosto de 2017 a julho de 2018. A pesquisa focou-se na investigação dos processos de formação e desenvolvimento profissional para o ensino do cuidado em saúde. A experiência obtida neste programa amplia o olhar sobre a importância de investigar lacunas desconhecidas na ciência, a fim de deixar um legado para o avanço da ciência, além de nutrir o interesse pela carreira docente.

Abstract:
Participation in undergraduate research projects at universities is an important tool for student qualification and insertion in academic life. This paper aims to report the experience of a medical undergraduate student as a student of the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC), in order to encourage other students to be interested in scientific research. This is a descriptive study of the activities developed by the PIBIC scholarship student between August 2017 and July 2018. The research focused on the investigation of the processes of training and professional development for health care teaching. The experience gained in this program broadens the view on the importance of investigating unknown gaps in science in order to leave a legacy for the advancement of science, as well as nurturing interest in the teaching career.
