PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA SOBRE A POLÍTICA NACIONAL DE SAÚDE DA PESSOA IDOSA: UM ESTUDO CIENCIOMÉTRICO

• Abstract:

  Introduction: the publication of the National Policy for the Elderly was an achievement in relation to the rights of the elderly, therefore, studies that propose to evaluate it are important. Objective: to know the level of scientific production focused on the National Policy for the Elderly, after more than a decade of its creation. Method: the present scientometric study uses as a database the national and international literature on the National Policy for the Elderly, published in the Scielo, Pubmed and Bdenf databases. The research was carried out from June to September 2020, using the National Elderly Health Policy. After the initial search and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 22 publications related directly to the theme were selected. Results: the years 2010, 2009 and 2017 obtained, respectively, the largest number of publications, political themes in the health of the elderly, geriatric evaluation, health promotion for the elderly and public policies for the elderly were the most addressed. The states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo stood out as the states with the highest number of publications. Qualis / Capes classifications demonstrate that Qualis A2, B1, B2, B3 and B4 have been identified, the great majority of them being B1 and B4. Regarding the levels of evidence, the publications are mostly at level four. Conclusion: the level of scientific production aimed at the National Policy for the Elderly was incipient, although such productions may contribute to the application of technical and scientific knowledge in the care of the elderly.
