PROCESSO DE ENFERMAGEM A PACIENTE IDOSO COM PNEUMONIA E SUAS COMPLICAÇÕES FUNDAMENTADO NA TEORIA DAS QUATORZE NECESSIDADES HUMANAS BÁSICAS DE VIRGÍNIA HENDERSON: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
A pneumonia é a maior causa de
morte por doenças infecciosas no mundo. Os
pacientes idosos com pneumonia requerem
cuidados de toda a equipe multiprofissional
citando-se a atuação da enfermagem
na assistência. Para que isso ocorra de
forma organizada utiliza-se o Processo
de Enfermagem. Trata-se de um estudo
descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, tipo
estudo de caso, realizado por graduandos de
Enfermagem de uma Instituição de Ensino
Superior Pública do Piauí, em um hospital de
referência no interior do Estado. A amostra foi
constituída por um paciente idoso internado
na enfermaria do mesmo. A coleta de dados
foi realizada por meio de uma entrevista
semiestruturada, com questões pertinentes às
técnicas básicas do exame físico e anamnese,
em maio de 2018. Como referencial teórico foi
utilizada a Teoria das Quatorze Necessidades
Humanas Básicas de Virgínia Henderson. A
elaboração dos diagnósticos, intervenções e
resultados de enfermagem se deu por meio
da análise do histórico clínico do paciente e
posteriormente utilizaram-se as taxonomias
NANDA, NIC, NOC e CIPE. O processo de
enfermagem é estruturado baseando-se em
referenciais teóricos que determinam a conduta
do enfermeiro. Nesse sentido, as taxonomias
padronizam a linguagem, na qual cita-se
NANDA-I, NIC, NOC e CIPE, que possibilitam
ao enfermeiro classificar e definir diagnósticos,
intervenções e resultados. As teorias de
enfermagem são indispensáveis para a prática
profissional, além do seu papel primordial de
organizar e sistematizar o cuidado prestado
ao paciente. A teoria de Virgínia Henderson
utilizada neste estudo de caso apresentou-se
de grande aplicabilidade.

Abstract:
Pneumonia is the leading cause of death from infectious diseases in the
world. Elderly patients with pneumonia require care from the entire multiprofessional
team, citing the nursing role in care. For this to occur in an organized way the Nursing
Process is used. This is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, like a case
study, carried out by Nursing undergraduates of a Public Higher Education Institution
of Piauí, in a reference hospital in the interior of the State. The sample consisted of
an elderly patient hospitalized in the same ward. Data collection was done through a
semistructured interview with questions pertinent to the basic techniques of physical
examination and anamnesis, in May 2018. As a theoretical reference was used The
Theory of the Basic Human Needs of Virginia Henderson. The nursing diagnoses,
interventions and results were elaborated through the analysis of the patient’s clinical
history and later the NANDA, NIC, NOC and CIPE taxonomies were used. The nursing
process is structured based on theoretical references that determine the nurse’s
behavior. In this sense, taxonomies standardize language, in which NANDA-I, NIC,
NOC and CIPE are cited, which enable nurses to classify and define diagnoses,
interventions and results. Nursing theories are indispensable for professional practice,
in addition to their primary role in organizing and systematizing the care provided to the
