POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS PARA MELHORIA DA ATENÇÃO MATERNA E INFANTIL NO MUNICÍPIO DE SANTA MARIA- RS
As políticas públicas de atenção à
saúde materna infantil no tocante às emergências
obstétricas vem sendo aprimoradas ao nível do
SUS. Objetiva-se relatar um estudo de campo
sobre a atenção às emergências obstétricas no
município de Santa Maria -RS realizado no ano
de 2018. O acolhimento com classificação de
risco para emergências obstétricas acontece
em dois hospitais, um deles é referência
regional para gestação de alto risco e dispõe
de leitos de UTINeo; o outro, é referência para
gestação de risco habitual. A implantação
da Rede Cegonha no município ampliou a
atenção à saúde materno infantil e contribuiu
para a ordenação do sistema, transporte, prénatal,
parto, puerpério e puericultura. Contudo,
ainda há constante necessidade de melhorias
no acolhimento para qualificar as respostas
oportunas às emergências obstétricas nessa
região.

Abstract:
Public health care policies for
maternal and child health in relation to obstetric
emergencies have been improved at SUS
level. The objective of this study was to report
a field study on obstetric emergency care in
the municipality of Santa Maria, RS, Brazil,
conducted in 2018. The hospital with risk
classification for obstetric emergencies happens
in two hospitals, one of them is a regional
reference for high gestation risk and has NICU
beds; the other is a reference for habitual risk
gestation. The implementation of the Stork
Network in the city expanded the attention to
maternal and child health and contributed to the
system's ordering, transportation, prenatal care,
childbirth, puerperium and child care. However,
there is still a constant need for improvements
in reception to qualify the timely responses to
obstetric emergencies in this region.
