PNEUMONIA REDONDA COMO DIAGNÓSTICO DIFERENCIAL DE NEOPLASIA PULMONAR EM SEXAGENÁRIA: RELATO DE CASO
A pneumonia redonda, pseudotumoral ou pneumonia organizada, é uma apresentação radiológica atípica de infecção pulmonar, primariamente observada em crianças e rara em adultos. Apresenta-se o caso de uma paciente, 68 anos, com dor pleurítica em base de hemitórax direito associado a tosse seca e dispneia. Tomografia computadorizada (TC) de tórax demonstrou lesão expansiva heterogênea em lobo superior direito e espessamento de feixes conjuntivos peribroncovasculares na região hilar adjacente. A hipótese de processo neoplásico primário foi inicialmente considerada, sendo a possibilidade de processo infeccioso incluída nos diagnósticos diferenciais.

Abstract:
Round pneumonia, pseudotumoral or organized pneumonia, is an atypical radiological presentation of pulmonary infection, primarily seen in children and rare in adults. We present the case of a 68-year-old patient with pleuritic pain in the base of the right hemithorax associated with nonproductive cough and dyspnea. Chest computed tomography (CT) scan showed a heterogeneous expansile lesion in the right upper lobe and thickening of peribronchovascular connective bundles in the adjacent hilar region. The hypothesis of a primary neoplastic process was initially considered, with the possibility of an infectious process being included in the differential diagnoses.
