PLANTAS MÍSTICAS DA AMAZÔNIA TOCANTINA: AROMAS, RITUAIS E MEDICINA POPULAR
Vinte e três espécies místicas acervadas no Herbário do Instituto Federal do Pará (HIFPA – Campus Abaetetuba) foram fotografadas e investigadas. Dessa forma, este compilado apresenta a origem, o hábito e breves descrições morfológicas de plantas amazônicas, informando os usos aromáticos e/ou ritualísticos, bem como outros usos etnobotânicos, principalmente para fins medicinais. As investigações contaram com o apoio da literatura da região Amazônica. A relação do aspecto sobrenatural com o biológico constitui-se em uma ferramenta fundamental na construção de uma sabedoria cultural, a qual deve ser estudada e valorizada pela comunidade científica.

Abstract:
Twenty-three mystical species kept in the Herbarium of the Federal Institute of Pará (HIFPA - Campus Abaetetuba) were photographed and investigated. Thus, this compilation presents the origin, the habit and brief morphological descriptions of Amazonian plants, informing the aromatic and / or ritualistic uses, as well as other ethnobotanical uses, mainly for medicinal purposes. The investigations were supported by the literature of the Amazon region. The relationship between the supernatural and biological aspects is a fundamental tool in the construction of cultural wisdom, which must be studied and valued by the scientific community. -
