Planos de Contingência para situações emergenciais em barragens
Conhecer o perfil da população do entorno é uma premissa importante para se estabelecer programas de comunicação sólidos entre os empreendimentos e a comunidade, evitando possíveis conflitos socioambientais. No caso da mineração, por exemplo, os empreendimentos de grande porte influenciam diretamente na rotina e dinâmica dos habitantes do entorno das minas, impactando a estrutura dos municípios e regiões próximas. As recentes rupturas envolvendo as barragens de rejeito, com centenas de vítimas fatais, degradação do entorno e impactos ambientais de longo prazo, trouxeram à tona a vulnerabilidade das comunidades que são afetadas em eventos de grande proporção, além da fragilidade da comunicação e do relacionamento entre empreendedores e seus vizinhos, norteados pelos Planos de Contingência.

Abstract:
Knowing the profile of the surrounding population is an important premise for establishing solid communication programs between the enterprises and the community, avoiding possible socio-environmental conflicts. In the case of mining, for example, large enterprises directly influence the routine and dynamics of the inhabitants of the surrounding areas of the mines, impacting the structure of the municipalities and nearby regions. The recent disruptions involving tailings dams, with hundreds of fatalities, degradation of the surroundings and long-term environmental impacts, have brought to light the vulnerability of communities that are affected in large-scale events, in addition to the fragility of communication and the relationship between entrepreneurs and their neighbors, guided by the Contingency Plans.
