PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO E CLÍNICO DOS PACIENTES VÍTIMAS DE ACIDENTE DE MOTO ATENDIDOS NO SERVIÇO DE EMERGÊNCIA DE UM HOSPITAL DE REFERÊNCIA DA GRANDE FLORIANÓPOLIS
Os acidentes automobilísticos têm importante impacto na morbimortalidade e na saúde pública. O estudo objetivou conhecer o perfil epidemiológico e clínico dos pacientes vítimas de acidente de moto atendidos no serviço de emergência de um hospital da Grande Florianópolis. Estudo transversal descritivo, com 1056 vítimas atendidas na emergência em 2017. Amostra foi coletada inicialmente nas fichas de atendimento da emergência e posteriormente nos prontuários eletrônicos. Estudo aprovado pelo comitê de ética em pesquisa. Encontrada prevalência de 72,8% por acidentes de moto e baixa mortalidade na unidade (0,5%). 74,9% eram do sexo masculino, com idade inferior a 30 anos (54,7%). 72,3% chegaram à emergência por transporte especializado. 78,8% tiveram alta hospitalar em até 12 horas. As maiores ocorrências foram na sexta-feira (19,1%), no período diurno (52,4%). Tendo como lesões as escoriações (34,6 %), fraturas fechadas (24,3%) e contusões (20,6%), sendo a dor a queixa presente em 27,9% das vítimas. Encontrada importante prevalência de acidentes envolvendo motos e baixa incidência de mortes na emergência. As vítimas são jovens, do sexo masculino, tendo como lesões escoriações, fraturas e contusões, sendo o APH o meio de transporte da maioria das vítimas.

Abstract:
High rates of morbidity and mortality are due to vehicle accidents causing a large impact on public health. This study aimed to understand the epidemiological and clinical profiles of motorcycle accident victims that were treated at the emergency of a hospital in the Florianópolis metropolitan area. To do so, a descriptive cross-sectional study with 1056 patients attended in emergency service from 2017 was performed. The research sample was initially collected using the emergency patients records and later the electronic prontuary. This study was approved by the research ethics committee. A prevalence of motorcycle accidents (72.8%) with a low mortality rate (0.5%) was found. The majority of patients (74.9%) were male and under the age of 30 (54.7%). 72.3% arrived by specialized transport and 78.8% were discharged within 12 hours. Additionally, the highest occurrences happened on Friday (19.1%) and during the day (52.4%). The main injuries were abrasions (34.6%), closed fractures (24.3%), and contusions (20.6%), with pain being a complaint in 27.9% of the victims. A important prevalence of motorcycle accidents and a low mortality rate was found in the emergency service. Most victims were young, male, with injuries such as abrasions, closed fractures and contusions, with the pre-hospital care being the main means of transport.
