PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DE UROCULTURAS DO LABORATÓRIO DE ANÁLISES CLÍNICAS DA FACULDADE PATOS DE MINAS ENTRE JANEIRO E DEZEMBRO DE 2018
As infecções do trato urinário são umas das infeções mais comuns no mundo todo, elas ocorrem pela multiplicação de bactérias no trato urinário e acomete principalmente mulheres e idosos. A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo realizar um estudo epidemiológico das infecções do trato urinário nos pacientes do Laboratório de Análises Clínicas da Faculdade Patos de Minas, considerando sexo e idade. Analisou-se 1.711 amostras de pacientes do sexo feminino e 473 do sexo masculino, destas 387 foram positivas. Com 18 patógenos encontrados entre os isolados, o estudo mostrou que o uropatógeno com maior prevalência foi a bactéria Escherichia coli (63%), e a maior prevalência de ITUs ocorreu em pacientes com idade acima de 60 anos. O estudo ainda mostrou que o mês com maior prevalência de amostras positivas foi o mês de fevereiro (23%) e o mês com menor prevalência foi o mês foi novembro (9%). Assim o estudo reafirma a importância do exame de urocultura no diagnóstico das infecções do trato urinário e tratamento eficaz.

Abstract:
Urinary tract infections are one of the most common infections worldwide, they occur due to the multiplication of bacteria in the urinary tract and mainly affect women and the elderly. This research aimed to conduct an epidemiological study of urinary tract infections in patients at the Clinical Analysis Laboratory of Faculdade Patos de Minas, considering sex and age. A total of 2,184 samples were analyzed, from January to December 2018. 1,711 samples were received from female and 473 male patients, and a total of 387 isolates were positive. A total of 18 pathogens were found in the study isolate and the uropathogen with the highest prevalence was the bacterium Escherichia coli (63%). The highest prevalence of UTIs occurred in patients over the age of 60 years. The month with the highest prevalence of positive samples was the month of February (23%) and the month with the lowest prevalence was the month was November (9%).
