PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DA SÍFILIS GESTACIONAL EM UM MUNICÍPIO DA BAIXADA MARANHENSE NOS ANOS DE 2010 A 2020
A sífilis é uma das infecções sexualmente transmissíveis (IST) mais comuns globalmente, com cerca de 6 milhões de novos casos a cada ano. Se uma mulher grávida infectada não receber tratamento precoce adequado, pode transmitir a infecção para o feto, resultando em baixo peso ao nascer, nascimento prematuro, aborto, natimorto e manifestações clínicas precoces e tardias. Este artigo tem como objetivo descrever o perfil epidemiológico dos casos de Sífilis gestacional notificados no município de Pinheiro-MA no período de 2010 a 2020.Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva dos casos de sífilis em gestantes, a partir de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN-NET). Foram notificados 181 casos da doença, houve aumento significativo nas notificações no período de 2016-2018 (45,3%), enquanto que nos anos 2010-2012 ocorreu a diminuição dos mesmos (3,3%). De acordo com as variáveis sociodemográficas observou-se que, 75,7% das gestantes estavam na faixa etária de 20 a 29 anos, e 22,6% tinham idades inferiores a 19 anos. A ocorrência da Sífilis foi mais frequente em mulheres com Raça/cor parda (72,9 %), enquanto que as brancas tiveram um número bem reduzido (9,4 %). Considerando as características clinicas e epidemiológicas os casos apresentaram predominantemente como classificação clinica a sífilis primaria (37,6 %). Os dados obtidos conjugam com a maioria dos estudos já realizados em diferentes regiões do País. Trata-se de um agravo que apresenta recursos diagnósticos e de tratamento simples e de baixo custo, no entanto seu controle continua sendo um desfio aos órgãos públicos.

Syphilis is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) globally, with about 6 million new cases each year. If an infected pregnant woman does not receive adequate early treatment, she can transmit the infection to the fetus, resulting in low birth weight, premature birth, abortion, stillbirth and early and late clinical manifestations. This article aims to describe the epidemiological profile of cases of gestational syphilis reported in the municipality of Pinheiro-MA from 2010 to 2020. This is a descriptive survey of syphilis cases in pregnant women, using data from the Information System of Notifiable Diseases (SINAN-NET). 181 cases of the disease were reported, there was a significant increase in notifications in the period 2016-2018 (45.3%), while in the years 2010-2012 there was a decrease in them (3.3%). According to the sociodemographic variables, it was observed that 75.7% of the pregnant women were in the age group of 20 to 29 years old, and 22.6% were younger than 19 years old. The occurrence of Syphilis was more frequent in women with race / brown color (72.9%), while white women had a very small number (9.4%). Considering the clinical and epidemiological characteristics, the cases predominantly presented primary syphilis as a clinical classification (37.6%). The data obtained are in line with most of the studies already carried out in different regions of the country. This is a condition that presents diagnostic resources and simple and low-cost treatment, however its control remains a challenge to public agencies.
