PERFIL DE OBESIDADE INFANTIL NAS DIFERENTES REGIÕES DO BRASIL: DADOS POF 2008-2009.
O aumento da prevalência de obesidade infantil tem sido observado na população brasileira, e apontado como um fator de risco para o desenvolvimento precoce de doenças crônicas (MIRANDA; ORNELAS, 2011). O objetivo deste estudo é descrever dados sobre a obesidade infantil no Brasil encontrados na Pesquisa de Orçamento Familiar 2008-2009 e algumas de suas causas. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico descritivo e teve como base uma busca no banco de dados do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística, através de uma pesquisa de orçamentos familiares mais recente disponível, que avaliou os indicadores antropométricos relacionados a obesidade, em uma amostra com indivíduos inclusos na faixa etária de 5 a 9 anos de idade, diferenciados por sexo e grandes regiões do Brasil no ano de 2008- 2009. Analisou-se as prevalências de obesidade em crianças do sexo feminino e masculino respectivamente e foi verificado que o crescimento é ascensional, mostrando que a tendência secular, nos últimos anos, foi crescente em todas as regiões brasileiras, norte (9,4% – 10,8%) , nordeste (8,9% - 15,5%), sudeste (13,6% – 15,2%), sul (16,2% – 20,4%) e centro-oeste (10,3% – 23,6%). Portanto, de acordo com os resultados observados no presente estudo analisaram os dados encontrados sobre obesidade infantil nas diferentes regiões do Brasil, enfatizando para a necessidade da ampla implementação e regulamentação das leis para o controle deste problema de saúde pública bastante presente atualmente no país e para promoção da alimentação saudável nos aspectos que envolvem o público infantil.

Abstract:
The increase in the prevalence of childhood obesity has been observed in the Brazilian population, and has been identified as a risk factor for the early development of chronic diseases (MIRANDA; ORNELAS, 2011). The aim of this study is to describe data on childhood obesity in Brazil found in the 2008-2009 Family Budget Survey and some of its causes. This is a descriptive epidemiological study and was based on a search in the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics – IBGE, database through a more recent survey of family budgets available, which evaluated the anthropometric indicators related to obesity, in a sample with individuals included in the age group of 5 to 9 years of age, differentiated by sex and large regions of Brazil in 2008-2009. The prevalence of obesity in female and male children respectively was analyzed and it was verified that the growth is ascending, showing that the trend in recent years, it has been increasing in all Brazilian regions, north (9.4% - 10.8%), northeast (8.9% - 15.5%), southeast (13.6% - 15.2 %), South (16.2% - 20.4%) and Midwest (10.3% - 23.6%). Therefore, according to the results observed in the present study, they analyzed the data found on childhood obesity in different regions of Brazil, emphasizing the need for the broad implementation and regulation of laws to control this public health problem that is currently present in the country and for promotion of healthy eating in aspects involving children.
