PERFIL CLÍNICO-EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DE PACIENTES DIAGNOSTICADOS COM CÂNCER GÁSTRICO ATENDIDOS NA ESPECIALIDADE DE ONCOLOGIA DO HOSPITAL DE CLÍNICAS DE PASSO FUNDO, RS
INTRODUÇÃO: O câncer gástrico é uma das neoplasias mais frequentes no mundo, sendo o quarto em frequência e o segundo quanto a mortalidade. Considera-se multifatorial a origem do câncer gástrico e tem variação conforme a localização geográfica, etnia, fatores genéticos e ambientas, hábitos de vida ou exposição a agentes oncogênicos. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar o perfil clínico e epidemiológico de pacientes diagnosticados com câncer gástrico atendidos no Hospital de Clínicas de Passo Fundo (RS). MÉTODOS: Realizou-se um estudo descritivo, transversal, quantitativo através da análise retrospectiva da base dados do Registro Hospitalar de Câncer do Hospital de Clínicas de 2007 a 2016. RESULTADOS: Foram analisados 501 registros de pacientes com câncer gástrico. A maioria era do sexo masculino (67%), a idade de diagnóstico concentrou-se entre os 50 e 79 anos (75%), o nível de escolaridade foi considerado baixo (até fundamental completo) em sua grande maioria (72%). Além disso, o tabagismo apresentou elevada incidência (43%). A história familiar esteve presente em (23%) da população. Em relação às características do tumor, a localização primária mais acometida foi o corpo (23,8%). Quanto ao estadiamento, o estádio 4 foi o mais comum (32,3%) e houveram no total 191 óbitos (38%) confirmados. CONCLUSÃO: O câncer gástrico é diagnosticado em estágios muito avançados e segue a epidemiologia na literatura como a idade, sexo, nível educacional e localização anatômica.

Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Gastric cancer is one of the most frequent cancers in the world, being the fourth in frequency and the second in mortality. The origin of gastric cancer is considered multifactorial and varies according to geographic location, ethnicity, genetic and environmental factors, lifestyle or exposure to oncogenic agents. The present study aims to characterize the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients diagnosed with clinical cancer treated at the Passo Fundo Clinical Hospital (RS). METHODS: Conducted a descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative study through retrospective analysis of data from the Hospital Cancer Registry of the Clinical Hospital from 2007 to 2016. RESULTS: 501 records of patients with gastric cancer were analyzed. Most were male (67%), a concentrated age of diagnosis between 50 and 79 years (75%), the level of education was considered low (until elementary school) in the vast majority (72%). In addition, smoking had a high incidence (43%). Family history was present in 23% of the population. Regarding the characteristics of the tumor, the most affected primary location was the body (23.8%). As for status, stage 4 was the most common (32.3%) and there are total of 191 deaths (38%) confirmed. CONCLUSION: Clinical cancer is diagnosed in very advanced stages and follows a literature epidemiology such as age, gender, educational level, and anatomical location.
