PERCEPÇÃO DE PUÉRPERAS SOBRE A ESTIMULAÇÃO DA AMAMENTAÇÃO APÓS O PARTO EM MATERNIDADE DE TERESINA-PI
O aleitamento materno fornece
aos lactentes os nutrientes necessários para
ter boa saúde e para otimizar o crescimento.
Estudo quantitativo e qualitativo, com 385
puérperas em maternidade pública de TeresinaPI, que descreveu percepção de puérperas
sobre o estimulo ao aleitamento na sala de
parto. Os resultados revelaram que 73,8%
das pesquisadas não receberam orientações,
enquanto 78,4% das que receberam
consideraram as informações importantes. O
enfermeiro foi o profissional citado em 71,5%
dos casos. As orientações, quando presentes,
foram semelhantes às recomendações
do Ministério da Saúde. A estimulação da
amamentação após o parto poderá ser alvo de
novas pesquisas que resultem em ações para
capacitação dos profissionais de saúde.

Abstract:
Breastfeeding gives infants
the nutrients needed for good health and for
optimizing growth. Quantitative and qualitative
study of 385 postpartum women in a public
maternity from Teresina-PI, with a description of
the perception of mothers on the encouragement
of breastfeeding in the delivery room. The
results revealed that 73.8% of the surveyed
did not receive guidance, while 78.4% of those
who did considered the information received
important. Nurses were the professionals
quoted in 71.5% of cases. The information,
when given, were similar to the Ministry of Health
recommendations. Stimulation of breastfeeding after birth may be the subject of new researchs that result in actions for training health
professionals.
