PANORAMA EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DA INJÚRIA RENAL NO ESTADO DO TOCANTINS: MORBIMORTALIDADE E CUSTOS PARA O SISTEMA ÚNICO DE SAÚDE
INTRODUÇÃO: A Insuficiência Renal (IR) pode ser definida como diminuição das diversas funções exercidas pelos rins no corpo humano. Dentre as principais causas de IRA é possível destacar a nefropatia diabética, hipertensão arterial sistêmica (HAS) e glomerulonefrite. Estima-se que mundialmente 2 milhões de pessoas evoluem para óbito em decorrência da IRA e aquelas que sobrevivem apresentam maior risco para acometimento pela DRC futuramente. Na Região Norte do país, por sua vez, a literatura é escassa em pesquisas e produções científicas voltadas para o monitoramento da evolução de incidência da IRA, bem como DRC nos estados e seus municípios, o que justifica a relevância do presente trabalho. OBJETIVO: analisar o número de internações por insuficiência renal no estado do Tocantins, avaliando a morbimortalidade e custos para o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo quantitativa e descritiva, que foi realizada por meio de dados secundários do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS). RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO: Houve progressão da Injúria Renal nos últimos anos no estado do Tocantins, com destaque para o predomínio de óbitos no sexo masculino em faixas etárias varáveis. Além disso, o estudo revelou um longo tempo de internação decorrente dessa morbidade e suas complicações, assim como elevados custos para o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) em decorrência disso. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS: A IRA é considerada uma síndrome de elevada incidência associada a altas taxas de morbimortalidade, a qual teve avanço progressivo no território tocantinense, ressaltando a necessidade de políticas públicas voltadas para a prevenção de patologias de base.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Renal Failure (RI) can be defined as a reduction in the various functions performed by the kidneys in the human body. Among the main causes of AKI, it is possible to highlight diabetic nephropathy, systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) and glomerulonephritis. It is estimated that worldwide 2 million people evolve to death as a result of ARI and those who survive are at greater risk of being affected by CKD in the future. In the northern region of the country, in turn, the literature is scarce in research and scientific production aimed at monitoring the evolution of the incidence of ARI, as well as the DRC in the states and their municipalities, which justifies the exaltation of this work. OBJECTIVE: to analyze the number of hospitalizations for renal failure in the state of Tocantins, to assess morbidity and mortality and costs for the Unified Health System (SUS). METHODOLOGY: This is a quantitative and descriptive research, which was carried out using secondary data from the Informatics Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: There has been a progression of Kidney Injury in recent years in the state of Tocantins, with emphasis on the predominance of deaths in males in variable age groups. In addition, the study revealed a long hospital stay due to this morbidity and its complications, as well as high costs for the Unified Health System (SUS) as a result. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: ARI is considered a syndrome of high incidence associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality, which had progressive advance in the territory of Tocantins, highlighting the need for public policies aimed at the prevention of underlying pathologies.
